`import.meta.resolve`'s `parentURL` argument takes effect only under
`--experimental-import-meta-resolve`, which no launch passes, so the
fallback resolved from this module rather than from the harness — the one
question it existed to answer. The disk walk is the whole answer now, and
the refusal memo it needed goes with it. A `file:` URL joins the file
branch rather than the package one, where a resolver would only normalize
it and report a missing target as present, and a row is skipped on the
Loader's own `Boolean(disabled)` so `disabled: 0` is checked like the
Loader checks it.
A broken card says so through `aria-disabled` rather than `disabled`, and
refuses the pick in its own handler. `disabled` took it out of the tab
order, which with the reason moved onto the badge left it unreachable
without a pointer — reachable before this change, so hiding it was a
regression rather than a path that never existed.
Both notes this decision partly supersedes are updated in place and
cross-linked, one README pair loses an editing residue that repeated a
sentence, and the single-row diagnostic no longer reads "row row 1".
Discovery proved only that a composition parsed, so a preset naming a
package a later rename took away kept a healthy card and its place in
every picker until a person switched to it. It now resolves each row it
can prove will start, reading the package off disk and falling back to
the resolver only for names that look absent — the resolver costs a
synchronous hooks-thread round-trip under the source launch's tsx hook,
which the walk avoids for every row it clears.
The mount diagnostic followed `AggregateError.errors` but never a cause,
so a group that failed on two rows named neither. It now follows a cause
that carries more than its own message.
A refused switch left the chip's label snapping back with no account of
why, which is the only account there can be for a preset that resolves
and then refuses. It announces through the shared Toast, which gained a
caller-set hold for a cause that names packages and rows.
Keep recognized code fences syntax-highlighted while assistant text streams. Preserve completed Shiki token lines across chunks, mirror token styles and CRLF handling, and retain plain rendering for unsupported or math-like fences.
Add unit, DOM-parity, and keyless assembled-Web coverage for the streaming-to-settled transition.
Closes#1499
The themed WebKit scrollbar skin keeps a wide table's horizontal bar
permanently painted. Chromium never repaints state-conditioned scrollbar
styles (hover-conditioned ::-webkit-scrollbar* rules and :hover
scrollbar-color changes both compute but never reach the painted bar,
measured headed and headless), so the hover reveal toggles overflow-x
itself: hidden at rest with a padding-bottom matching the themed bar
height, auto on hover or keyboard focus with the padding released — the
appearing bar exactly replaces the padding and nothing below shifts.
Resting hidden overflow drops Chromium's implicit scroller focusability,
so wide wrappers carry an explicit tabindex for arrow-key scrolling.
Markdown tables were always rendered at natural width, so anything wider
than the 748px message column could only be read through horizontal
scrolling. Following the deepsuite chat TableWrapper treatment: tables
under four columns (and any table inside a blockquote) now fill the column
and wrap cell text down to the cells' minimum readable width, while
four-or-more-column tables keep their natural width behind the wrapper's
horizontal scroll and carry the stable md-table-wide hook. The chat
transcript widens hooked tables past the message column with a pure-CSS
container-query breakout (100cqw against ChatView's scroll container
standing in for deepsuite's JS-measured list width), keeping the table
content aligned with the message column and clamping to neutral when the
transcript is narrower than the column.
The message-feedback note editor previously expanded inline inside the
assistant message's shared IconActions row, overflowing the row at every
viewport and pushing the branch action and the clock out of the column.
Rework it into a portable popover: the note editor is a fixed-position panel
portaled to document.body and anchored to the note trigger, so the row keeps
its single 28px line whether the editor is open or not and the panel escapes
the column's overflow clip.
The like/dislike buttons and the note trigger stay in the row unchanged; the
trigger toggles the popover (textarea + Save/Cancel + note-save failure) which
auto-focuses the input and closes on Escape or an outside click, returning
focus to the trigger. Rating/list-load failures surface in the row, note-save
failures inside the popover. Reuse the Menu portal surface tokens and add
@types/react-dom so the createPortal usage typechecks.
Layout e2e sweeps six viewports and pins that opening the editor leaves the
row's overflow, line count, and out-of-column items unchanged, and that the
panel is outside the column, within the viewport, and anchored to its trigger.
Unit tests cover the popover's portal-to-body, toggle, Escape/outside-click
dismissal, and unmount early-returns.
The toast sits 120px from the viewport top and centers over its anchor —
the composer card, so it centers on the chat column rather than the window;
a rejected model selection (e.g. picking a text-only model while the
session holds images) announces through the same banner while the in-menu
strip with Retry stays the catalog-load surface. The attachment rail
consumes every wheel tick with a vertical component: a diagonal pan keeps
its horizontal intent and nothing scrolls the conversation behind the
composer.
Single-click original preview in the composer rail and chat history; remove
control inside the thumbnail, revealed on hover/focus (always on touch);
hidden-scrollbar rail overflow paged by edge arrows with wheel panning and
end-reveal on add; image-intake rejections and prompt failures announce as a
transient top-center toast instead of inline strips.
The attachment atoms move to a new zero-cordis package
@deepseek-ai/dsh-client-ui-attachment (rail, message gallery, lightbox),
seeded as a platform module; the toast is a ui-primitives atom. Strings
arrive as label props bridged from the conversation dictionary.
Delete design-session citations (decision/audit/plan ordinals, stack
positions), change narration, review choreography, and reviewer-addressed
justification from comments, JSDoc, docs, READMEs, Agent Notes, tests, and
generator templates; restate every affected fact as current-state contract
prose. Fix generated docs at their sources and regenerate the catalogs and
cordis-surface regions; re-paste type-equiv blocks; update every bilingual
counterpart and re-record the pairs. Record the citation rule in the
committed-artifact-citations Agent Note.
The chatFileMentions service (provided by ui-deliverables beside its
turn-tail entry, reached via ctx.get) resolves inline-code tokens in the
closing message against the turn's produced locations: exact path or
unique basename links, ambiguity and unknowns stay inert. MarkdownText
gains the optional fileMentions seam — settled renders only, never
inside anchors.
The settings shell painted the onboarding overlay (opaque stage, mask,
#root inert) the moment a step was registered and not locally completed,
while every step still had to load its private join before deciding
whether to show — rendering null could not suppress the shell-owned
chrome. Every reload on the hero therefore flashed a full-screen opaque
layer (white in the light palette) for one settings/credential RPC
round-trip after the session list turned ready.
The chrome now belongs to the step: a new zero-cordis OnboardingSurface
primitive (ui-primitives) renders the body-portaled overlay/mask/stage
verbatim from the former SettingsRoot stylesheet and holds #root inert
for exactly its own lifetime. WelcomeNotice and DeepSeekOnboardingDialog
wrap only their visible branch in it, so their existing null branches
paint and block nothing by construction. SettingsRoot keeps the
coordinator unchanged but renders the elected step bare, and the
settings.onboarding contract now names the surface wrap as the
registrant's obligation.
The onboarding e2e gains a held-join reload scenario pinning that a
configured world never mounts the takeover chrome or inerts the app.
Port the two master-side markdown fixes onto the mdast renderer:
cjkFriendlyStrong joins both parse.ts grammars as a micromark extension
(ex remark plugin), and inline-code HTTP(S) URLs gain the safe anchor in
render.tsx without normalizeUri. Re-record the two new web-e2e goldens
whose footer clock spacing diverged from the nine established goldens,
and drop the timing-flaky LLM duration segment one of them captured.
The READMEs of ui-primitives and ui-conversation still documented the
removed maxSources prop, DEFAULT_WEB_MAX_SOURCES, CHAT_WEB_MAX_SOURCES,
and the head/tail collapse; the 2026-07-30 frontend note described the
same as current behavior. Restate all of them as the fixed-height scroll
container and cross-link the two notes both ways.
Bound the model-visible/card-visible correspondence: spill-policy's
tools/post-execute replaces an oversized result's content while leaving
presentationMeta whole, so the card's contract is the view it receives,
not the model's context.
Narrow the unit test's name and header comment to what jsdom establishes
(one <ol>, no expand control); jsdom does not resolve CSS Modules layout,
so the scroll geometry belongs to an assembled browser case.
Address review of the ToolRow card refactor:
- ToolRow renders a visually-hidden run-state label (row.running/failed/stopped
locale keys) so a running/failed/interrupted row is not a colour-only signal;
the StateDot and the sweep are both aria-hidden. Restores the stopped-state
text assertion in diff-card.spec at the ToolRow layer.
- The file-link button stops Enter/Space from bubbling to DisclosureRow's
whole-row keydown, which would preventDefault the key and toggle expand
instead of opening the file (the keyboard analogue of the click stopPropagation).
- search-row passes output={model.output} unconditionally, matching the other
three card rows (ToolRow renders the card over the output when present).
- Assert locale: 'conversation' in the search/web/diff registration tests.
- Add the read render-intent paragraph to the ui-conversation README and a
ReadBlock atom entry + Read section to ui-primitives (both languages).
- Update the grep fixture sample lines to the post-refactor SearchRow shape.
Refresh the code-mode-round, steering, and search-card goldens for the added
status text and updated sample lines.
- built-boot smoke asserts [data-variant=web][data-tool=web_search/fetch]
(the keyed WebRow) instead of [data-web] (which WebBlock draws even on the
GenericToolCard fallback, so a silent keyed-registration failure passed).
- WebBlock renders an explicit empty-state note when a search returns no
answer and no sources, instead of a blank <ol>; the chat row does not
surface the raw result content, so the backend's 'No results found.' was
otherwise invisible.
- README (ui-conversation, ui-primitives) and the frontend Agent Note record
the unknown-web-kind null arm, the details-panel flattened body, and the
empty-search copy; pairings re-recorded.
- webCardModel returns null for an unknown web `kind` (wire from a newer host)
instead of drawing it as a malformed fetch, matching the unknown-`card` and
terminal-model wire-boundary default.
- Fixture WEB_SEARCH_RESULT/WEB_FETCH_RESULT and the source type derive from the
contract's ToolResultView via Extract, so a new contract field fails at the
type level rather than drifting silently.
- built-boot smoke asserts the web_search/web_fetch turns render their keyed
WebRow cards, giving the registration and wire projection an assembled check.
- DetailsPanel comment no longer claims the card omits content for search.
- ui-primitives README inline-Chinese limitation now lists WebBlock's controls.
Complete the stalled review pass: drop the unused useMemo import (rows flatten
inline), add SearchBlock to the ui-primitives README (both languages) with a
Search results section, and re-record the doc pairings. Search card behavior
and tests unchanged (313 pass).
- DetailsPanel: render the flattened result content below the web card, so a
web_fetch's fetched body (and a search's answer/source markdown) stays
visible on the panel's single-call reading surface — the card is a summary.
- WebBlock: the collapsed source tail keeps each source's original citation
number via <li value>, and the expand control is a marker-less <li> so the
<ol> is valid HTML; an empty-hostname URL (file:/data:) falls back to the raw
URL so a label is never blank.
- web-row / GenericToolCard: both spread WebBlock uniformly with maxSources
(fetch ignores it, like TerminalBlock's maxLines), dropping the duplicated
per-kind conditional.
- Docs: WebBlock added to the ui-primitives README (both languages) with a Web
retrieval section; the ui-conversation README's "inline licensed for this
intent alone" claim de-absolutized and a web-card paragraph added; the Agent
Note's safe-link description corrected to the http(s) subset of MarkdownText's
allowlist (mailto excluded). Fixture source comment aligned with its data.
- Tests: ol numbering + marker-less expander, empty-hostname label fallback,
the fetched body visible in the panel.
The write/edit tools already declare card:'diff' with applied hunks on
callView/resultView, but the Web client discarded it: a mutation landed on
GenericToolCard and the details panel flattened the result to a <pre>. Add
DiffBlock (ui-primitives), diff-card-model (the single callView/resultView
derivation), and FileMutationRow (keyed under write and edit), and make the
generic fallback row and the details panel diff-aware. The +/- block form,
per-file path header, same-file gap, and footer mirror the TUI diff card;
the chat row caps at CHAT_DIFF_MAX_LINES against the panel's full height.
