test(web): live-turn interaction scenarios — cancel, error, retry, question composer, steering
Five browser e2e scenarios over the existing keyless lane, one recorded
base fixture per spec family:
- live-interactions: one tool-free recorded turn + per-run override
sidecars authored in the spec (content single-sourced from the fixture
via deriveReplayScript, minted into a spec-owned temp dir). Cancel uses
a hang patch with a readyFile marker — the marker proves the stream is
parked mid-turn before the Stop click, so mid-stream cancellation is
deterministic by construction (turn/end 'aborted', composer re-enabled).
AUTH pins the non-retryable path: turn/end 'error', zero llm/retry
events, composer recovers; FIXME(web-error-surface) marks the found
product gap (no error copy renders — the client consumes no agent/error
frames and a pre-chunk failure freezes no partial). SERVER retry appends
the fixture's own success after an injected throw and proves llm-retry
end-to-end in the browser via the durable llm/retry record.
- question-composer: the shipped ask_user_question takeover blocks the
turn mid-step on the real userInteraction seam; the test answers through
the composer (the one sanctioned model-content-reactive drive step: the
turn cannot complete without it) and the tool result carries the answer.
Adds the composer waiting-state aria golden.
- steering: steers mid-turn while the composer blocks the step (the
deterministic mid-turn window). The steer rides the real wire
(session.prompt mode:'steer' POSTed from the page; the locked composer
has no steering gesture yet — TODO(web-steer-composer)); downstream is
all product: gateway -> Agent.steer -> step-boundary drain -> durable
steering/message -> SSE -> badged interjection bubble. Record mode
rejects a fixture whose live reply ignored the steer.
Scaffold gains the replayOverride passthrough; specs register in both
tsconfig planes (client exclude, host include).

test(web): cover the settings surface and workspace management
Two new keyless scenarios for the functionality master gained since this

model calls:

role=dialog, aria-current section switch to the deliberately empty

TODO(web-theme-gesture): clicking 深色 runs aria-pressed -> persisted
dsh.theme -> body[data-ds-dark-theme] -> alias-token flip, survives
reload, and 'system' follows the emulated OS scheme both ways; the
Language row switches the settings-scoped copy to English (dsh.locale
persisted, survives reload) and restores zh. Intentional reloads tear
the SSE stream, so the spec drains exactly its own reconnect warnings —
the tripwire still fails on unexpected connection loss.
- workspace-management: create-by-name twice through the region-header
dialog (host-durable via ctx.workspace.list()); rename end to end —
hover-revealed row menu (the button is display:none until the row
hovers), duplicate-name pre-check (inline role=alert + disabled primary
before any wire call), then workspace.rename through the real RPC,
row update, host durability, reload survival; the flat 'In one list'
view (section label flips, group headers drop, dsh.workspace.view
persists across reload, grouped restored); the session hover card
(dwell to open, closes on pointer leave). The one session row reuses
seeded-history's committed seed — no new recording. Deliberately not
driven: the inert menu rows and drag reorder (deferred in the note
with re-entry triggers).
Agent Note gains scenarios 8-9 and the drag-reorder deferred item in both
languages; llm-replay README's zh side catches up with the { patches }
paragraph; pairings re-recorded.

feat(cli): even out the shipped tool rosters across both surfaces
The two shipped surfaces offered different tools for no recorded reason:
session checkpoints, tool-result pruning, the goal tools, and Ralph were in
`tui.cordis.yml`; `tool-todo` and web search were in `web.cordis.yml`. Neither
offered session search, a string-replacement editor, or a repeat-tool guard,
though none of the three is surface-specific.
Move the rows that are not surface-specific into `base.cordis.yml` and add
those three. Web search moves there too — the TUI decision the change that
made it a Web default deferred. Both surfaces now assemble the same 27 tools.
This adds only. No row is removed from either surface and no existing row's
configuration is edited: executors, sandbox composition, access defaults,
`tools.mode`, and the workflow tool are exactly what they were. Two rows stay
surface-specific: `tmux-context` (no terminal multiplexer in a browser) and
`session-reference` (its index has one writer owner).
Ship `dsh-mcp-client` as a dependency without a row: the plugin mounts one
server per instance and `command` is required, so a default would name a
third-party server and spawn it outside `ctx.bash` on every launch. The CLI
README carries the YAML for mounting one from a personal config.

feat(types): brand bash ids + stop brand erosion; extract Branded to dsh-brand
Type-only change (brands are zero-cost casts; no runtime/wire impact). Closes
the two gaps in the "brand ids that cross package boundaries" policy and fixes
the dependency direction so a capability package never pulls in an unrelated one.
- Extract the `Branded<B>` primitive into a new standalone type-only package
`@deepseek-ai/dsh-brand` (packages/util/brand) with no harness-package deps.
dsh-llm keeps its owned CallId but imports Branded from dsh-brand; dsh-session,
dsh-agent, and dsh-bash all import Branded from there. dsh-bash depends on
dsh-brand ALONE — never on dsh-llm or dsh-session (the architectural fix: a
generic execution backend must not couple to the LLM or session vocabulary).
- Mint BashTaskId + OwnerToken in dsh-bash and thread them through BashTask.id,
the get/ownerOf/list/readOutput/kill seam, the bash-local generation site, and
the dsh-tool-bash validate/access surface. OwnerToken is a DISTINCT brand from
SessionId so the seam stays decoupled; dsh-tool-bash is the single boundary
that casts SessionId -> OwnerToken.
- Brand at the SOURCE, not via mid-pipeline casts: agent-loop's Config types
agents[].id as AgentId and resumeSessionId as SessionId, so the brand enters
at the config boundary and the inner create()/resume casts disappear (only the
genuinely-new per-run session-id string is cast).
- Stop brand erosion: propagate CallId/SessionId/AgentId to the registry/store
Map keys and public params/exports (SessionStore, AgentRegistry + factory
options, the ACP session-id surface + ToolPresenter CallId map, the
persistence coordinator, invariants pendingCalls, the pi-ai tool-call maps).
- Docs: document BashTaskId/OwnerToken in bash.md (type-equiv re-pasted), point
the Branded type-equiv at dsh-brand, fix stale param types in the session/
agent/bash READMEs, regenerate the cordis catalog + module graph.
Implements docs/rfc/proposed/architecture/2026-06-20-branded-ids.md

Reorganize packages into a modular hierarchy
Move the 18 flat packages/<name> packages into role-grouped dirs:
core/, llm/, bash/, session-persistence/, ui/, support/. Group dirs are
pure containers; each package keeps its @deepseek-ai/dsh-* name.
Collapse the per-package tsconfig paths maps (base + typecheck) into one
@deepseek-ai/dsh-* wildcard with a candidate per group, and derive the
publint list from the hierarchy. Update all depth-coupled globs/configs
(workspace, tsdown, vitest, eslint, knip, tsconfig includes/refs,
per-package tsconfigs, generators, doc-script scopes, type-equiv manifest)
and the cross-package/script relative imports in tests.
Fix doc-typecheck's workspacePaths() to parse tsconfig JSONC via the
TypeScript API instead of a regex comment-strip, which corrupted the
new wildcard `/*/` path candidates.
WIP: doc cross-links and package/RFC docs still to update.

feat(settings): add user-settings seam (ctx.settings) + file provider
Two-package capability family mirroring session-persistence/:
- dsh-settings: abstract Settings service — namespace registry with
caller-fiber effect registrations, layered resolution (schema defaults
< composition base < user document), schemastery validation,
per-namespace deep-equal commit detection, and the settings/updated
event. Boot/registration validation fails loud; provider publishes
keep last-good per namespace.
- dsh-settings-local: settings.yaml/.json provider — resolveSpec
defaulting to $DSH_HOME/settings.yaml, chokidar hot reload,
content-equality self-write suppression, atomic 0600 tmp+rename
writes, comment-preserving YAML namespace patching.
Consumers register inside ctx.inject(['settings'], …), so every
composition works unchanged without a mounted provider. Real Loader +
Include composition test proves cordis.yml boot and external-edit hot
propagation; HMR disposal test proves registry cleanup. Both packages
hold per-file 100% coverage.
Doc budgets rise 1705→1710 (AGENTS.md) and 835→845 (packages/README.md):
one structural line per file for the new package group.

feat(permission): user-facing permission presets — one Permissions select over the two knobs
A preset names a bundle of the two mechanism knobs — request =
workspace-write + ask, yolo = danger-full-access + never — so the editor
shows ONE 'Permissions' select where the sandbox-mode and approval-policy
tiers stay orthogonal capabilities (the Codex /approvals shape: presets over
two dials). ctx.permission (dsh-permission) owns the config-defined table,
validates the default preset's bundle against the composed knob defaults at
load (fails loud), and writes a switch THROUGH: one log-only
permission/preset event (the audit fact reverse-mapping cannot recover —
the planned 'agent' preset shares request's knob values and differs only in
composed policy) plus each knob event via its own setter, deduped — a
net-zero switch appends nothing. Every knob consumer keeps reading its own
fold, untouched.
The current preset DERIVES from the effective knob values — the fold breaks
bundle ties, a knob state outside the table is the reserved 'custom' value
(a state, not an error: shown while it holds, switchable FROM, never a
target), and defaultPreset disappears (zero-event state reverse-maps from
the composition defaults).
The ACP bridge drops the two per-knob selects for the one preset select
(advertised only when ctx.permission is composed); pending/anchor/no-op
semantics carry over unchanged, with the no-op echo acknowledged before
vocabulary validation so a client re-pushing a derived 'custom' current
never errors. The sandbox variant example composes the
service with a workspace-write default; the permission-switching,
escalation-approved and escalation-rejected scenarios are re-recorded under
it (escalations now target an outside-workspace /tmp path under
danger-full-access, self-cleaning) and config-options is re-authored on the
single-select wire.

refactor(subprocess): rename the process seam to subprocess and address review
Review feedback (tianyicui): 'process' is a poor service name. The family is
now packages/subprocess/ — @deepseek-ai/dsh-subprocess (ctx.subprocess,
abstract SubprocessService, Subprocess* vocabulary) and
@deepseek-ai/dsh-subprocess-local (LocalSubprocessService) — renamed
throughout code, compositions, docs (en+zh, pairs re-recorded), catalogs,
and gates. 'subprocess' is the precise term for managed OS children (the
Python-stdlib sense), avoids colliding with Node's global process object,
and reads as one system beside dsh-subagent-subprocess.
ds-review-bot findings addressed:
- kill() on a settled handle is now a no-op (no signal to a possibly-reused
pgid, no referenced grace timer delaying exit); pinned by a spy test.
- The moved DshEnvironmentKey/DshEnvironment/CollectedOutput types get
drift-checked type-equiv blocks on the new subprocess.md page, restoring
their manifest registration.
- subprocess.md is registered in the core.md sub-page index (en+zh).

feat: add the worker-thread code runtime (dsh-code-runtime-worker)
The shipped backend of the code-execution seam, per the Code Mode RFC's
worker-thread section: one fresh Node worker per run, executing the
model's TypeScript after a host-side type-strip (wrapped in an
async-function shell so top-level return/await parse, sliced back out
position-preserved), bindings bridged over the message port under
hostile-peer rules (own-property name lookup, at-most-once replies,
post-settlement drops, null-prototype namespaces), logs streamed eagerly
with an in-band truncation marker, and two independent budgets — measured
event-loop busy time (computeMs) plus a never-pausing wall ceiling
(maxWallMs) — funneling into worker.terminate(). env: {} and execArgv: []
keep the isolate hermetic; disposal aborts in-flight runs and awaits
worker exits.
The worker entry loads unbuilt via Node's native type stripping
(src/worker.ts, erasable-only) and ships built as a sibling tsdown bundle
(lib/worker.js); tests/built-lib.e2e.ts pins the built load path under
plain node and joins the built-artifact smoke gate. Unit suites cover the
bootstrap in-process (fake port) and the runtime over real workers,
per-file 100%.

feat(sandbox): cross-family file sandbox — one policy home, sandboxed fs provider, fs escalation parity
Extend SandboxMode enforcement from bash to the filesystem tools, the sandbox
RFC's deferred cross-family phase.
- dsh-sandbox-policy (new, ctx.sandboxPolicy): the single home for the
deployment default mode + workspaceRoot and the per-session override event,
renamed bash/sandbox-mode -> sandbox/mode and moved here with its fold/setter.
Decouples the bash seam from dsh-session.
- dsh-fs-sandbox (new): SandboxedFileSystem extends LocalFileSystem and fences
write/edit by the per-call mode (read-only denies, workspace-write contains to
the workspace + temp roots via the shared writableRoots, danger passes
through); reads pass through. Structured FS_SANDBOX_DENIED; in-lock parent
re-canonicalization. A policy fence in trusted code, not a kernel boundary.
- dsh-sandbox: the shared escalation kit (writableRoots, the strictly-wider
ladder, denial/hint markers, approveEscalation) both tool families use;
approveEscalation takes a structural approver so dsh-sandbox gains no
approval/agent dependency, and both tools stay duplication-free.
- tool-fs: write/edit advertise sandbox_permissions/justification under a
confining ctx.fs, map FS_SANDBOX_DENIED to the shared [sandbox: ...] marker,
and resolve the same one-approved-wider retry.
- examples/acp-agent: composes sandbox-policy + fs-sandbox, drops the gating
that disabled the fs stack under confined modes.

sandbox RFC's In-process/deferred/FAQ sections updated to shipped fact.

fix(fs): address review — rename to dsh-fs-policy, fs/*-intent events, RFC currency, ENOTDIR
Rename per review naming decisions:
- package dsh-file-context → dsh-fs-policy (dir, package name, plugin name,
tsconfig refs, importers, type-equiv manifest, generated catalog + module-graph)
- events fs/write-expectation → fs/write-intent, fs/edit-expectation → fs/edit-intent
(fs/observed unchanged); type FsWriteExpectation → FsWriteIntent, "expectation"
wording → "intent" throughout
- exported FileContextExec → FsPolicyExec
Make the implemented RFCs describe what shipped, not the superseded designs:
the 2026-06-17 capability-seam + tool-schemas RFCs no longer place policy on
ctx.fs or use full/partial-view authorization, and the fsspec RFC's ctx.fileContext
service prose is rewritten to the fs/* event-gate reality (freshness-based auth).
Sharpen docs/rfc/implemented/AGENTS.md: a rename is a fact to fix IN PLACE — the
"new RFC" escape hatch is for macro decision reversals only, not renames.
Code fixes from review:
- fsio.ts resolveLocalTarget/probe translate ENOTDIR (a parent path segment is a
file) into the structured FsError taxonomy instead of leaking a raw Node error;
resolve reports FS_NOT_FOUND, probe reports absent. Regression tests proven to
fail on the unfixed code.
- tool-fs HMR test now asserts prompt sections (not just tool schemas) are
withdrawn on disposal.
- fs/observed is a plain (unguarded) ctx.emit: correct the fs-policy comment,
filesystem.md, and tool-fs module doc that wrongly claimed the tool "contains"
a throwing listener; a throw surfaces as the tool's isError result.
- drop the false "loaded by the default product config" claim (no config wires
the fs tools yet), the duplicate ctx.bash service-map row, the stale
FileReadRequest catalog link-map entry, and the fs/fs README EOF blank line;
correct the dsh-fs package.json description.

Add web capability seam: ctx.web, search/fetch providers, web tools
Introduce web access as a first-class capability seam so the model-facing
web tools stay stable while backends change. dsh-web owns ctx.web as a
provider registry with registration-order-independent selection and the
WebError taxonomy; dsh-web-search-exa, dsh-web-search-perplexity, and
dsh-web-fetch-local register capabilities into it; dsh-tool-web is the sole
owner of the model-facing web_search/web_fetch schemas, prompt sections, and
HTML-to-markdown presentation. Search and fetch are deliberately one seam.
Providers ship as namespace plugins that register into ctx.web (like an
LlmAdapter into ctx.llm), not key-owning services, since multiple search
providers cannot each own the key. Tool registration follows product
enablement, not backend availability, so load order/credentials never enter
the model contract; the seam resolves the provider at execution time and
surfaces a structured WebError otherwise.
Moves the RFC to implemented/ amended to match what shipped. Example/app
configs are intentionally not wired yet (RFC migration step 6).

Reorganize packages into a modular hierarchy
Move the 18 flat packages/<name> packages into role-grouped dirs:
core/, llm/, bash/, session-persistence/, ui/, support/. Group dirs are
pure containers; each package keeps its @deepseek-ai/dsh-* name.
Collapse the per-package tsconfig paths maps (base + typecheck) into one
@deepseek-ai/dsh-* wildcard with a candidate per group, and derive the
publint list from the hierarchy. Update all depth-coupled globs/configs
(workspace, tsdown, vitest, eslint, knip, tsconfig includes/refs,
per-package tsconfigs, generators, doc-script scopes, type-equiv manifest)
and the cross-package/script relative imports in tests.
Fix doc-typecheck's workspacePaths() to parse tsconfig JSONC via the
TypeScript API instead of a regex comment-strip, which corrupted the
new wildcard `/*/` path candidates.
WIP: doc cross-links and package/RFC docs still to update.

feat(ui): share the app bins' boot glue in @deepseek-ai/dsh-app-boot
The four near-twin helpers the two published bins carried — loadEnv,
installFailLoud, assertEntriesLoaded, boot — live once in
packages/ui/app-boot, parameterized by the bin's diagnostic prefix and
injectable at their side-effect seams (warn sink, process slice), so
every branch sits under the per-file 100% coverage gate: the unit suite
drives boot() in-process against the real Loader (relative-specifier
configs) through both the settled-tree path and the fiber-less-entry
rejection, and exercises the ENOENT/unloadable .env split, the
Error/non-Error/stackless fail-loud arms, and the disabled-entry
exclusion. resolveConfigPath (snapshot-aware) becomes the single path
resolver for both bins.
Each bin.ts is now a thin self-executing composition plus its
app-specific lifecycle (acp: replay env-skip + stdin-EOF dispose;
stdio: nothing extra), exports nothing, and stays coverage-excluded;
the built-bin smokes still prove both artifacts under plain node in the
node_modules-shaped temp dir (now symlinking ui/app-boot), including
the missing-config non-zero exit.
Implements docs/rfc/implemented/simplification/2026-07-04-share-app-bin-boot-glue.md
(moved from proposed/ and amended); the extract-example-app-packages
RFC's bin-ownership facts are amended in the same change.

Add subagent capability seam: interface, mock backend, model-facing tool
Introduce the `packages/subagent/` group and the abstract subagent seam — an

vocabulary + subagent/start|end events. Start-time capabilities (outputSchema,
depthLimit, toolFilter) are checked pre-start and rejected loud; runtime
capabilities (sendMessage, resume) are optional methods on SubagentRun.
- dsh-subagent-mock (support): scripted provider for keyless, deterministic
tests through the real Loader/export path.
- dsh-tool-subagent: the model-facing `subagent` tool, config-bound to one
provider; synchronous collect with try/finally dispose, signal->cancel
bridging, and non-completed-stop-reason -> isError mapping.
- Proposed RFC documenting the seam, the fork-vs-spawn-as-separate-backends
decision, own-session isolation, synchronous-collect scope, and the deferral
of background/poll/spill to a future unification with bash.

feat(acp-snapshot): extract the ACP snapshot suite into a support package
The snapshot tier's machinery leaves examples/acp-agent/tests for
packages/support/acp-snapshot (@deepseek-ai/dsh-acp-snapshot), where the
coverage gate measures it and a second example can consume it instead of
forking it: harness.ts (runScenario, parameterized by an AgentUnderTest
{binScript, configPath, tsconfigPath} instead of module constants),
normalize.ts (moved verbatim), and suite.ts (defineAcpSnapshotSuite — the
per-scenario golden/log compares, record write-back, per-suite header pin
with its uniformity guard, and the fixture guard block, lifted from
acp.snapshot.ts). The example file collapses to its scenario table plus
one factory call; env reading (DSH_SNAPSHOT) stays at that edge.
The exactly-one-pin meta-test generalizes from the hardcoded text-turn
name to "exactly one per suite" — which scenario pins is the scenario
table's reviewable choice (per-suite pinning per the proposal RFC).
Extraction parity: pnpm run test:snapshot is 36 passed + fs-policy-reject
failing BEFORE AND AFTER (BSD-sed environment failure, reproduced at the
base commit in a clean worktree — the recorded golden's sed -i syntax is
GNU-only), with zero byte changes under examples/acp-agent/tests/snapshots/.
Coverage for the new src files lands in the next commit.

Add in-process subagent backends: spawn (fresh) and fork (seeded)
The second PR of the subagent seam: the two in-process backends that run a
child agent on the same cordis context, reusing the agent factory's quiescent
AgentHandle teardown. Both register on ctx.subagents (PR1's named-provider
registry) and share one run driver.
- dsh-subagent-spawn: a FRESH child via ctx.agents.create — own session, the
parent's model by default (overridable), zero inherited conversation. Also
exports the shared in-process run driver (startInProcessRun): mint ids, stamp
cwd/parentSession-lineage/depth, drive the one-shot (send → whenIdle), read
the last assistant/message + turn/end reason, dispose to quiescence.
- dsh-subagent-fork: a child SEEDED with the parent's balanced completed-turn
prefix (the log up to and including its last turn/end), so the child inherits
context. The in-flight unbalanced turn is excluded — a raw seed would fail the
invariants replay. Proven: a regression test goes red if the boundary seeds
the open turn.
- Seam extension: CreateAgentOptions.seed, threaded through AgentLoop.createAgent
→ ctx.sessions.prepare({ seed }) (the primitive resume already used). This is
the fork-lineage path the TODO(sub-agents) markers anticipated.
- Depth: a merge-extensible AgentOptions.subagentDepth (0 top-level, parent+1 for
a child); the depthLimit capability refuses a spawn past request.maxDepth.
Tests: real-loop unit tests for both backends (mock MODEL only, real loop +
invariants), a multi-subagent test (one parent drives a fork AND a spawn child
then keeps working), and a with-key e2e (a real parent delegates via the
`subagent` tool to a real child that writes a file on disk — world-verified).
100% per-file coverage. The coding-agent demo wires the spawn backend + tool.
Snapshot coverage of nested agents is deferred to a stacked follow-up
(TODO(subagent-snapshots)): dsh-llm-replay is a single global positional cursor
that cannot route calls to a parent vs. a child on one context. Recorded in the
RFC's deferrals and a new AGENTS.md rule: designing a subsystem must design its
test infrastructure END TO END up front, verifying the snapshot/e2e harness can
express the new shape — a gap this plan hit.

feat(subagent): continuable background subagents
Implement the continuable background subagents RFC: a durable child
session with a series of Task-backed activations, each disposing its
run before the Task settles.
- dsh-subagent: rename SubagentRun.sendMessage to strict steer, drop
run-level resume, add SubagentProvider.resume dispatch via
SubagentService.resume, the continuation start field, and the
versioned model-hidden subagent/descriptor session event.
- dsh-subagent-inprocess/-spawn/-fork: publish the control-allocated
child id, append the descriptor inside the initial turn, implement
cold resume from the child's own transcript under the live parent
scope, and strict running-only steer.
- dsh-subagent-control (new): SubagentControlService owning stable
child ids, descriptor snapshot/fold/authorization, Task-backed
activation with settle-then-dispose ordering, the process-local
active-run association, and steer-or-resume sendMessage routing.
- dsh-tool-subagent: background route branches on the provider's
resume capability (continuable via the control service; one-shot
task for ACP), returning both child and task ids.
- dsh-tool-subagent-control (new): the globally named send_message
tool rendering steered/started routes.
Keyless coverage spans Task ownership and disposal ordering, running
delivery, cold follow-up, descriptor rejection and rollback, known-id
reconstruction, kill during lookup, admission races, and a new
subagent-continuable ACP snapshot scenario.

Add the ACP subagent backend: out-of-process delegation (PR3)
The first OUT-OF-PROCESS subagent backend, proving the seam generalizes past the
in-process backends. @deepseek-ai/dsh-subagent-acp runs each child agent in a
spawned subprocess, driven over the Agent Client Protocol as the CLIENT — the
direction-inverted twin of the dsh-acp server bridge. Point the configured
command at the acp-agent example and the harness talks to its own process.
- Fresh process per run: start spawns, runs one ACP session (initialize →
newSession → prompt), dispose kills the subprocess and awaits its exit.
- Minimal client stub: advertises no fs/terminal; accumulates agent_message_chunk
text as the result output; auto-answers session/request_permission by a
configured policy (reject default / allow). No start-time capabilities (an
out-of-process child can't enforce the parent's depth/tool-filter); ignores
request.parent; injects only `subagents`.
- StopReason mapping (end_turn→completed, cancelled→aborted, …); result resolves
error/aborted on a child failure, never rejects (seam contract).
- Security: credential-shaped ambient env vars are scrubbed; the child's own key
is forwarded only via explicit config.env. A spawn-level error (ENOENT) is
captured and raced against the ACP drive so a bad command settles error rather
than crashing the parent.
Testing designed at every tier: keyless integration drives a scripted mock ACP
server subprocess (cancellation incl. the pre-newSession race and a
torn-pipe-after-cancel, permission auto-answer, non-message updates, spawn
failure, HMR, export shape) at 100% coverage; a with-key e2e drives the REAL
acp-agent example process (PONG + real file write, verified on disk) — the
harness driving itself. Snapshot coverage of an ACP child is deferred as
TODO(acp-subagent-replay) (each child is its own process with its own replay).
Stayed on @agentclientprotocol/sdk 0.25.1: the proposed 0.28.x bump only
deprecates the stable ClientSideConnection/AgentSideConnection API this layer
uses (33 sites incl. the server bridge), turning no-deprecated red across code
this PR shouldn't rewrite — that fluent-API migration is its own follow-up. The
backend needs nothing 0.28.x adds.
This completes the subagent seam stack (PR1 interface → PR2 in-process → PR2.5
snapshot infra → PR3 ACP); the seam RFC moves to implemented/, amended.

feat(tool-todo): add the model-facing todo_write tool
Add @deepseek-ai/dsh-tool-todo (a new packages/todo/ group): a model-facing
todo_write(todos: [{content, status}]) tool with whole-list-replace semantics.
Each call appends the full list as a todo/write event to the calling agent's
session log; the current list is the most recent such event (last-write-wins).
Single-owner — a non-agent caller is rejected. Beyond the schema's
type/required/enum checks, execute rejects empty/duplicate content and more than
one in_progress task, narrowing the loosely-typed args into a real TodoItem[].
Both UIs render off the existing session/event: the stdio UI prints a glyphed
checklist; the ACP bridge maps the list to a `plan` sessionUpdate (todosToPlan
synthesizes the priority ACP requires; status maps 1:1). Wired into the
coding-agent, acp-agent, and snapshot example configs with a system-prompt nudge.
Tests: unit (schema, validation, append/replace, no-agent rejection, presentCall,
HMR-safety, Loader export-shape guard), full-loop integration through the agent
loop, the ACP todosToPlan mapping + stream-update arm, the stdio render arm, and
a session/load replay that re-emits the plan. New-group TS wiring added to
tsconfig.base/json/build. RFC + a doc-inventory sweep (architecture, packages
README, AGENTS layout, cookbook group list, example READMEs) ship with it.
The todo-plan ACP snapshot scenario is recorded separately (needs an API key).

refactor: rename the backend to dsh-subagent-dsh-sdk
The group's convention is package suffix == provider default
(subagent-acp/'acp', subagent-spawn/'spawn', subagent-fork/'fork'), and the
provider default became dsh-sdk in the last review round — so the package
follows: @deepseek-ai/dsh-subagent-dsh-sdk at
packages/subagent/subagent-dsh-sdk, plugin name subagent-dsh-sdk,
diagnostics prefixed subagent-dsh-sdk:. The dsh echo has precedent
(dsh-llm-deepseek). Directory, fixture path, knip/tsconfig/examples
registrations, catalogs, READMEs (en+zh), and the Agent Note follow; the
sdk-client dispose ladder moves to its own module (src/dispose.ts) with the
deterministic FakeChild tier tests restored alongside it.

workflow: dynamic workflows — script-driven multi-agent orchestration
A new capability family at packages/workflow/ in the bash seam shape,
modeled on Claude Code's dynamic workflows: the model writes a JavaScript
orchestration script (export const meta = {...} + plain-JS body), a runtime
executes it, and the script — not the conversation — holds the loop, the
branching, and the intermediate results.
- dsh-workflow (ctx.workflows): abstract WorkflowService + run vocabulary
(WorkflowRun whose result NEVER rejects) + observe-only workflow/* events
carrying data snapshots (id + meta, never the live run), per-listener
contained like subagent/*.
- dsh-workflow-vm: in-process node:vm engine. Meta extraction via a
string/comment-aware scanner (template interpolation rejected; literal
evaluated alone in an empty timed context; statement blanked line-
preservingly so stacks keep script line numbers). Hooks: agent(prompt,
{label, phase, schema, model}) over ctx.subagents, parallel(), pipeline()
(no cross-stage barrier), phase(), log(), args. Fatal-vs-null discipline:
hook misuse (unknown/deferred options, bad arguments, unsupported
schemas, tripped caps, seam start failures, cancellation) throws fatal
WorkflowErrors the combinators RE-THROW — never dissolved into the
per-item null reserved for child failures. Realm boundary: inbound values
materialized by descriptor walks that never invoke accessors (defineProperty
copies, __proto__-safe); outbound values rebuilt in-realm via the
context's own JSON.parse. Determinism bans (Date.now/Math.random/argless
new Date) kept so future resume support cannot break scripts. Caps and
timeouts are validated Config. Every hook promise carries a no-op
rejection consumer (app-boot exits on unhandled rejections).
- dsh-tool-workflow: the model-facing workflow tool, synchronous like
dsh-tool-subagent (start → await → try/finally dispose; abort bridged;
non-completed → isError). Generic render card titled by a textual
meta.name sniff. The tool description carries the authoring contract.
Wired into examples/{coding-agent,acp-agent} with explicit-ask-only
guidance. Coverage at every tier: unit (meta scanner, materializer incl.
counting-getter and __proto__ regressions, combinator semantics,
concurrency ceiling, caps, cancellation, no-unhandled-rejection abandon),
integration over the real spawn stack, with-key e2e (real two-phase run +
the tool through the registry pipeline), and a recorded ACP snapshot
scenario (workflow-run, 1 child session). RFC:

workflow: dynamic workflows — script-driven multi-agent orchestration
A new capability family at packages/workflow/ in the bash seam shape,
modeled on Claude Code's dynamic workflows: the model writes a JavaScript
orchestration script (export const meta = {...} + plain-JS body), a runtime
executes it, and the script — not the conversation — holds the loop, the
branching, and the intermediate results.
- dsh-workflow (ctx.workflows): abstract WorkflowService + run vocabulary
(WorkflowRun whose result NEVER rejects) + observe-only workflow/* events
carrying data snapshots (id + meta, never the live run), per-listener
contained like subagent/*.
- dsh-workflow-vm: in-process node:vm engine. Meta extraction via a
string/comment-aware scanner (template interpolation rejected; literal
evaluated alone in an empty timed context; statement blanked line-
preservingly so stacks keep script line numbers). Hooks: agent(prompt,
{label, phase, schema, model}) over ctx.subagents, parallel(), pipeline()
(no cross-stage barrier), phase(), log(), args. Fatal-vs-null discipline:
hook misuse (unknown/deferred options, bad arguments, unsupported
schemas, tripped caps, seam start failures, cancellation) throws fatal
WorkflowErrors the combinators RE-THROW — never dissolved into the
per-item null reserved for child failures. Realm boundary: inbound values
materialized by descriptor walks that never invoke accessors (defineProperty
copies, __proto__-safe); outbound values rebuilt in-realm via the
context's own JSON.parse. Determinism bans (Date.now/Math.random/argless
new Date) kept so future resume support cannot break scripts. Caps and
timeouts are validated Config. Every hook promise carries a no-op
rejection consumer (app-boot exits on unhandled rejections).
- dsh-tool-workflow: the model-facing workflow tool, synchronous like
dsh-tool-subagent (start → await → try/finally dispose; abort bridged;
non-completed → isError). Generic render card titled by a textual
meta.name sniff. The tool description carries the authoring contract.
Wired into examples/{coding-agent,acp-agent} with explicit-ask-only
guidance. Coverage at every tier: unit (meta scanner, materializer incl.
counting-getter and __proto__ regressions, combinator semantics,
concurrency ceiling, caps, cancellation, no-unhandled-rejection abandon),
integration over the real spawn stack, with-key e2e (real two-phase run +
the tool through the registry pipeline), and a recorded ACP snapshot
scenario (workflow-run, 1 child session). RFC:

feat(hooks): dsh-hook-protocol — shared Claude Code / Codex hook wire-protocol core
The two hook bridges (dsh-hooks-claude, dsh-hooks-codex) would otherwise duplicate
the bulk of the protocol — Codex deliberately reimplements a SUBSET of the Claude
Code protocol (same hooks.json shape, exit-code/stdout contract, command-hook
model). This library holds the genuinely-identical primitives; each bridge owns
only what differs (per-event stdin payload, env/substitution, decision mapping).
New packages/hooks/ group; hook-protocol is a LIBRARY (no plugin, registers/injects
nothing):
- matcher: matchesMatcher(pattern, query, mode) — the one dialect axis collapsed to
a mode param (claude = literal-or-regex with pipe alternation; codex = always
unanchored regex). Match-all on absent/''/'*'; invalid regex matches nothing.
- codec: parseHookOutput(exit, stdout, stderr) → dialect-neutral HookOutput. Exit 0
→ lenient JSON; exit 2 → blocking error (stderr = reason, surfaced as
decision:'block'); other → non-blocking. Parses the CC superset
(continue/stopReason/decision/hookSpecificOutput.{permissionDecision,
additionalContext,updatedInput}/systemMessage); permissionDecision overrides the
legacy top-level decision.
- runner: runHook(bash, hook, opts, now) — runs a command hook via ctx.bash (stdin
payload + trusted-plugin env), honors timeoutSec, never throws (executor reject →
non-blocking-error HookOutput). Injected clock for testable durations.
- merge: mergeHookOutputs — most-restrictive fold (deny>ask>allow, sticky stop,
block reasons joined, context/system-messages accumulated).
- hook/* session events (declaration-merged into SessionEventMap, log-only like
compact/*) + appendHookInvoked/appendHookResult helpers.
updatedInput is parsed but NOT honored (deferred pre-tool-input-rewrite RFC); a
bridge logs+warns. 47 unit tests at per-file 100% (matcher per-mode, codec per
exit-code/field, runner plumbing w/ stub executor, merge precedence, hook/*
helpers). RFC: implemented/feature/2026-06-30-hook-protocol-lib.md.

feat(cordis): @deepseek-ai/dsh-tool-cordis — inspect/mount/unmount over the live runtime
New top-level packages/cordis/ group with the self-referential toolset:
cordis_inspect (services / plugin tree / tools / dynamic mounts / api / events,
the api section intersecting the generated catalog with the live service store),
cordis_mount (model-written code evaluated in a node:vm sandbox, mounted under
one cordis-dynamic group fiber as dyn-<n>), cordis_unmount (awaited disposal to
quiescence). Boundary mechanisms: dual-realm instanceof, JSON realm
normalization of dynamic tool results, marker-guarded registration, SchemaSpec
teaching errors, parse failures surfaced with the offending line + caret and a
line-scoped TypeScript hint, and the unmount-first recipe on tool-name
collisions. Config: vmTimeoutMs (schemastery, default 5000). Design record:
docs/rfc/implemented/feature/2026-07-08-self-referential-cordis-toolset.md.
The tool-catalog boot manifest, its regenerated output, and the pinned
tool-name list land here rather than with the other repo registration: the
completeness guard globs packages/*/tool-* and fails the generator (and the
core/tools spec) the moment the package directory exists.

feat(hooks): dsh-hooks-claude + dsh-hooks-codex bridges (hooks stack PR-F)
The two bridge plugins that run a user's existing Claude Code / Codex hook
config on the harness's typed interception seams, built on the shared
dsh-hook-protocol library. A bridge is a faithfulness adapter, not a power
tool: anything it does a native cordis plugin does more powerfully — the
bridge exists only to run UNMODIFIED external hooks.
- dsh-hooks-claude: CC dialect. Seven hook points (SessionStart,
UserPromptSubmit, PreToolUse, PostToolUse, Stop, SubagentStart,
SubagentStop), CC per-event stdin payloads, env + ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/
${CLAUDE_PROJECT_DIR} substitution, literal-or-regex matcher.
- dsh-hooks-codex: Codex dialect — a deliberate subset. Five hook points,
always-regex matcher, snake_case payloads (turn_id/model, no trailing
newline), no env/substitution, block-only decisions.
Both map the neutral merged outcome onto the seam's typed Decision and stamp
an explicit {kind:'plugin'} source on injected context (so it is never
mislabeled as a user prompt). Config parse-failure is contained; only command
hooks run. updatedInput is logged+warned (input rewrite deferred); the Stop
loop-guard is deferred (TODO).
Tests: per-file 100% — config-parse unit branches + per-seam mappings
end-to-end through the REAL loop + REAL bash + REAL shell scripts (scripted
mock model only) + a real-Loader export-shape guard. A keyless ACP snapshot
scenario (hook-prompt-block) proves a UserPromptSubmit hook blocks a prompt
end-to-end (rejected turn -> ACP cancelled, hook/* events in the log); a
with-key e2e (hooks.e2e.ts) proves a PreToolUse hook blocks real bash
(verified on disk). The snapshot normalizer now scrubs hook/result.durationMs.

feat(gui): step1 skeleton — dsc web serves built web UI over booted harness host
Five new modules: apps/dsc (bin: parseArgs + node:http static server +
signal shutdown), packages/host/apiproxy (programmatic harness core
composition, agents:[]), packages/client/web-runtime (React-free browser
runtime), packages/client/web-ui (React mount), apps/web (vite build
entry producing dist consumed by apps/dsc via package exports).
Root wiring: apps/* workspace glob, dsh-* paths for host/client groups,
demo:web script, apps/web/dist gitignore. No protocol/API routes yet —
contract lands in step2 (see missions/tasks/20260719-1902-apiproxy-api-design).
Includes the design + implementation archives (spec v2.1, deepseekchat
baseline and harness boot research, implementation run log).
Acceptance: 12/12 passed incl. real-key llm.stream smoke (51 chunks).
feat(gui): apiproxy — four-quadrant RPC contract + fetch carriers, live end to end
Contract layer (src/api/, 14 files): four named wire message types
(ClientRequest / ServerResponse / ServerRequest / ClientResponse) as a
discriminated union over strict bidirectional rpcId (initiator mints,
responder echoes; channel and message fully decoupled — HTTP is the
client->server pipe, SSE the reverse); narrow RpcRequest<P>/
RpcResponse<T> signature forms; RpcMethodMap with RequestPayload<K>/
ResponseValue<K> derivation; typed RpcError details map; approval/
question responses modeled as ClientResponse via a single /api/respond
endpoint (RpcReceipt carrier ack); zod schemas anchored per Wire<T>
against exactOptionalPropertyTypes.
impl/api-proxy.ts: describe/list/create, both SSE streams (frame queue
pump, subscribed baseline, lifecycle frames, signal cleanup); history
pages on message boundaries (tail-back scan, partial included in the
tail page); prompt dispatches queue->agent.send / steer->agent.steer
with rpcId carried through MessageSource; cancel for attached sessions;
cold-session resume deduped via a per-id promise map; host-level
provider/model defaults injected at create/resume.
fetch/: mechanical UNARY_ROUTES table, two-level parse with
path==method check, SSE frames completed to ServerRequest full form;
client mints -> narrows -> envelopes outbound, verifies rpcId echo
inbound, streams SSE frames, four-quadrant onEnvelope tap (debug panel
choke point). Real-browser fixes: URL base resolves to location.origin
(hardcoded internal base broke real pages), browser-safe export paths.
Design archives: contract design.md v2.0 with decision log,
core-coverage audit, comparative studies, step2 impl run log. Probed
end to end over real HTTP: prompt -> live model stream -> history
returns the finished reply.
feat(gui): RpcLog debug panel — fixture-driven milestone, playwright-verified 10/10
web-runtime: rpcLog + ui slices (zustand), four-quadrant RpcLogEntry
(client-request / server-response / server-request / client-response),
onEnvelope tap -> microtask-batched pump with 500-entry ring buffer,
ConnectionController (private state, backoff reconnect), fixture API
with fake envelopes (?fixture switch), bootWebRuntime; contract types
via temporary local copies (api-types.ts, swapped for real imports when
W3 client lands).
web-ui: components/panels/RpcLog five-piece set (badge with unread
count, floating panel, direction glyphs per quadrant, same-rpcId
pair highlighting in two families, JSON payload expand, follow/pause,
clear), App shell, utils/formatRelative, light-theme CSS variables with
dark placeholders.
dsc bin: mime lookup fixed to use the actually-served file (naked
'/?query' no longer falls through to octet-stream download); shutdown
closes SSE keep-alive connections so SIGTERM actually exits.
Acceptance: scripts/verify-rpclog-panel.mjs (chromium headless) ALL
PASS 10/10 over design.md §D 1-6.
pkg: add web scripts for building
feat(gui): session milestone — list + conversation over Session OOP, styled RpcLog v2.1
web-runtime: Session/SessionManager object layer (resident instances,
mux frame routing, lineage flattening), foldSurface adapter with padding
sentinels for paged windows, chunk accumulator for streaming partials,
batched change notification (useSyncExternalStore contract), connection
sinks + reconnect fix (the 300ms self-abort reconnect storm that made
the session list flap is gone), fixture rewritten as a scripted host
(60-turn history, typewriter replay, resident pending approval, child
session); temporary contract copies deleted in favor of real apiproxy
imports.
web-ui: sessions screen (list with lineage indent + selection as
container-local state), conversation view (turn grouping, reasoning
fold, tool cards, steering, pending interaction cards, upward paging
with scroll anchoring), input bar with queue/steer/stop; RpcLog panel
restyled per docs/web-styling.md (tokenized palette, quadrant badge
glyphs now vertical ↑↓⇟⇞, pair highlighting, floating shadow).
docs/web-styling.md: living style guide (tokens, visual baseline,
coding rules, evolution log).
Acceptance: verify-session.mjs 31/31, verify-session-real.mjs 5/5
(real model streaming), verify-rpclog-panel.mjs 10/10.
feat(gui): hostruntime split + repo-wide package prefix rename
Package split (design: 20260720-0101-hostruntime-split-design):
dsh-host-runtime carries bootHost + createApiProxy + startHost()
(RunningHost {api, handler, defaults, ctx, dispose} — the seam Electron
and any future shell reuses; ctx is the official front-door mount
point); dsh-host-webserver carries the node:http static+API bridge
(fixed: abort now keys on res 'close' + writableEnded — req 'close'
fires on body end since Node 16 and was killing every SSE stream
instantly, the reconnect-storm root cause); apps/dsc is now a thin
assembly with web/-p subcommands. dsc -p runs the full isomorphic
carrier chain in process (second real protocol consumer; probed
end-to-end against the live model).
Naming rule (user decree): packages under host/ and client/ carry the
directory prefix in their npm name — dsh-host-apiproxy,
dsh-client-web-runtime, dsh-client-web-ui renamed repo-wide in one
frozen batch; explicit tsconfig paths entries added where the wildcard
no longer matches.
Acceptance: verify-session 31/31, verify-rpclog-panel 10/10,
verify-session-real 7/7 (incl. new 12s connection-stability sentinels),
tsc green, dsc web + dsc -p smoke both pass.
refactor(gui): AbstractApiClient class hierarchy — OO client with inheritable seams
AbstractApiClient (apiproxy) carries every protocol invariant: rpcId
minting, four-quadrant envelope wrap/unwrap, zod parsing, SSE frame
parsing, the payload-direct IApiClient surface (callers no longer mint
rpcIds — the carrier does), and the instance-level envelope observation
pump (batched via microtask; moved off module-level globals in
rpc-log.ts, which is now a pure subscriber mapping envelopes into store
entries — the debug panel observes the connection, it is not part of
it).
Platform subclasses own two abstract seams (doFetch, onEnvelope) plus
three protocol-level virtuals for transportless overrides:
InProcessApiClient (apiproxy; dsc -p uses new InProcessApiClient(
host.handler)), WebApiClient (web-runtime), FixtureApiClient (fixture
now subclasses instead of wrapping). Naming per decree: AbstractApiClient
/ IApiClient; ApiProxy stays the impl-side narrow-form contract.
headless.ts call sites drop rpcRequest wrappers (payload-direct);
split-design archive updated with the naming-rule ledger.
tsc green; verify-session 31/31, verify-rpclog-panel 10/10,
verify-session-real 7/7 (12s connection sentinel count=4); dsc -p smoke
CALLER-OK.
feat(gui): InputBar final form — bug batch, deepseekchat layout, single primary button, running locks input
Squashes the whole InputBar iteration batch: IME/caret/auto-grow/focus/dedup
bug fixes, layout aligned to the deepseekchat baseline, single primary button
with hover flyout, finalized button semantics with the Codex-style icon
circle, and running-state locking where stop is the only mid-turn action.
The same batch carried the Chinese-to-English code comment sweep
(density pruned), folded in here.
docs(gui): purge work-log references from code comments
76 design-doc references cleared across the GUI packages: section
pointers inlined as self-contained constraint statements, pure pointer
comments dropped, milestone codenames and ruling tags out, and the 14
contract file headers switched to the formal RFC (the only sanctioned
external reference). web-styling.md now cites the styling RFC instead
of the disposable research archive. grep for work-log reference
variants is clean across the GUI packages.
docs(gui): file-header comments self-contained — drop RFC filename references
RFC renames/reorgs must not require a source sweep (the 2026-07-20
two-way merge proved it). 11 headers lose only the '(RFC …)' tail and
stay self-contained; api-proxy.ts keeps its minimal-first note.
fix(gui): session streaming — freeze interrupted partials, sweep stale running calls, send force-scrolls
Aborted turns never emit the finalizing assistant/message, so the
accumulated partial and its running tool cards kept rendering below
later messages — the "new message lands above the stopped reply"
illusion. turn/end side effects now freeze content-bearing partials
into interrupted terminal nodes (fractional seq keeps flow order; the
live freeze and history replay converge through applyEventSideEffects,
so a refresh reconstructs identical frozen nodes) and turn running tool
cards into interrupted terminal cards; only content-free partials are
swept outright. ConversationView gains the send-force-scroll rule (own
words must be visible) alongside the pre-update atBottom follow flag.
Regressions pinned as E2-4a–c (real host) and §E1-11h (fixture).
feat(gui): webserver hardening verify script
feat(gui): dark-mode toggle pinned to the sidebar bottom
Interim home before the Settings page exists (the button re-homes with
zero logic change — mechanics live in utils/theme.ts): html[data-theme]
flip + dsc.theme localStorage, stored choice wins over the OS
prefers-color-scheme default, applied in mount() before first paint so
a dark reload never flashes light. Moon/sun inline SVG icon button at
the sidebar's pinned bottom row. Pure front-end local concern: no RPC,
no Session/store involvement. Dark sweep of list/conversation/input
card/RPC panel found no unreadable pairs — no token changes needed.
docs(gui): GUI RFCs and web styling handbook
Layering+RPC protocol and web client architecture RFCs (post-reorg,
developer-facing polish folded in) plus the styling engineering
handbook. Mission work logs live in the commit above; PRs can be cut
from this commit to include formal docs only.
fix(gui): client object-layer hardening — audit timing/reference/resilience batches (S3-S5,C1-C3,C5-C8)
fix(gui): carrier error channel + webserver backpressure (audit A1-A5,A7-A10,R2,R5)
feat(gui): session persistence surface — cold list, project cwd, legacy no-cwd retirement
refactor: rename dsc CLI to dsh — apps/cli, bin name, package scope
Includes the root tsconfig project-references fix for host/* and
client/web-runtime (originally a separate build fix commit).
test(gui): three-tier suite — protocol/object/browser lanes, tier-a fill to per-file 100%
test(gui): jsdom lane for web-ui + web-runtime coverage gate entry
docs(gui): GUI testing system RFC (zh)
feat(gui): tool-card views — contract slot, host-computed delivery, three-level card fallback
fix(gui): lint clean across GUI packages — wrap long doc comments, drop dead type args, sync-return methods without awaits
docs(gui): doc-sync mechanical fixes — JSDoc on apiproxy/host exports, RFC sketch fences ignore-check, md-wrap paragraphs, drop missions links, web-ui plain-ts entry
chore(gui): module-graph regen + knip clean — drop dead re-exports, internalize createFixtureApi, scan web-ui tsx and verify mjs scripts
build(gui): wire client/host packages into the lib build shape — tsc references + tsdown (web-ui css-external), lib manifests, cordis peer, apiproxy typed subpaths, vite src aliases
test(gui): host-side per-file 100% coverage — apiproxy schema/carrier suites, webserver http-bridge suite, host-runtime composition suite; client/* coverage excluded pending the browser-side testing work item
docs(gui): package READMEs for the five GUI packages — model-experience audit entries, limitations sections
docs(gui): bilingual RFC pairs + client JSDoc completion — translate the three GUI RFCs to English with i18n records and manifest ratchet, Consequences sections both sides, full client/* export JSDoc, regen doc graphs and RFC index
fix(scripts): doc-typecheck built-declarations mode maps /src/* subpath wildcards (apiproxy browser-safe channels)
docs(gui): apply dsh rename across pr-gates docs — READMEs, layering RFC en, web-ui entry comment, i18n re-record
fix(gui): post-rebase lint reconciliation — wrap main-tree long doc comments, read-through narrowing guards, abortError Error normalization, handleUnary generic justification
fix(gui): post-rebase doc/test reconciliation — align host specs with evolved carrier contracts (sentinel rpcId, stream/error surfacing, url-path transport messages, defaults.cwd), Agent Note titles and relocated links, KV Cache effect sections, JSDoc on evolved exports
fix(gui): second-rebase reconciliation to 509db0cb3 — restore api panel exports the baseline suites consume, knip workspace entries for jsdom lane and apps/web smokes, hoist result narrowing, align testing.md to the narrowed web-ui exclusion
fix(test): vitest-scoped tsconfig maps bare imports for tsx specs — with GUI manifests now pointing at lib, an unmapped importer loaded a second copy of the web-runtime singletons
fix(gui): typecheck + lint clean over the tool-card batch — brand callIds and object-form turn/end reason in the view spec, narrow fixture arg stringification, wrap long v8-ignore comments
docs(gui): export JSDoc for tool-card surfaces + testing-note pairing header
docs: rfc for web testing
feat: add tools to host-runtime
fix(gui): dispatch agent/error via agentEvents in host-runtime spec — mounted invariants plugin rejects raw ctx.emit without the scope carrier
fix(gui): restore GUI knip workspaces + scripts/mjs entries and regenerate lockfile after master rebase
fix(gui): post-rebase gate repairs — drop context-node envelope (master unwrapped injected content envelopes), regen event matrix, condense testing.md web-ui exclusion within budget
fix(session): browser-safe deep-equal in surface — node:util import broke the vite bundle
ci(gates): frontend vite build joins pre-push — node: imports in the client closure pass tsc but break the browser bundle
test(tui): drop the checkout-dependent process.cwd() harness default — a long worktree path pushes the footer token counters past the 88-column fake terminal
test(gui): jsdom behavior E2E — conversation main path over fixture runtime, reconnect banner lifecycle
test(gui): jsdom RPC panel behavior — ledger rows, expand, pairing, pause/clear, follow-pause, payload truncation
test(gui): jsdom tier-2 — InputBar guards, reasoning fold, JSON blocks, message variants, theme, create-then-select; act-harden banner case
test(gui): jsdom tier-3 — ConversationView states/paging/force-bottom, ToolCallCard arms, PendingCard, list rows
test(gui): jsdom tails — view-card variants, LogRow directions, registry hygiene, badge overflow, hook ops, mount glue
test(gui): jsdom tails round 2 — call-ref blocks, resume follow, view precedence, failed create, empty-diff arm
test(gui): jsdom final arms — anchor compensation, follow-off, interval ticks, view halves, node-over-running precedence
test(gui): web-ui joins the per-file 100% coverage gate
Annotation-only src changes plus the config swap. The web-ui exclusion is
replaced by a single index.tsx entry (stale byte-identical duplicate of
mount.tsx, nothing imports it; same entry-glue treatment as bin.ts) and the
coverage include gains .tsx.
v8-ignore sites (each with its reason inline):
- ConversationView 3x ref-null guards; InputBar disabled-click guard
- ToolCallCard both-null arms + windowless-custom argsRaw arm
- LogRow css-module key fallbacks (start/stop block); RpcLogBody 3x ref-null guards
- web-runtime drift from the tool-card batch: fixture presenter catch/str
typo-guards, dense-array guards (fold-adapter reset, session rebuild,
fixture backscan), live view-present arm (fixture replays are text-only;
view vocabulary is covered by the history samples)
test(gui): close the PR #443 host-side coverage gaps — apiproxy client abort arms, api-proxy cold/view paths, webserver drain
- apiproxy fetch/client.ts: 3 new cases (pre-aborted signal short-circuits
before transport + string reason mapping, non-Error/string reason falls to
the default AbortError message, signal-less doFetch passthrough)
- runtime/api-proxy.ts: one v8-ignore (summarizeCold cwd arm — list()
filters cwd-less legacy metas) + api-proxy-cold.spec.ts (cold list merge:
mtime source, locate-undefined and vanished-log fallbacks, lineage;
no-persistence/no-factory resume → internal) + 2 view cases (history views
with meta passthrough and orphan/bad-args/presenterless soft-falls,
session/disposed open-call cleanup on the mux stream)
- webserver/index.ts: /api/big fixture drives both drain-wait legs (full
8MiB readback after drain, mid-chunk disconnect wakes via 'close')
feat: app shell
fix: rebase conflicts
fix: coverage
fix(gui): lint clean after rebase — wrap long v8-ignore comments, unconditional v1 detail-block claim
chore(gui): remove browser/probe verify scripts from scripts/
The six GUI acceptance/probe scripts (carrier-errors, rpclog-panel,
session, session-real, webserver-backpressure, webserver-hardening)
leave the repo's scripts/ tree; the three code comments that pointed at
them now describe the coverage lane without naming a script path.
fix(webserver): guard the request callback — one malformed request must not kill the process
The async handle() had no top-level catch, so any throw inside it (a bad
%-escape reaching decodeURIComponent, a client dropping mid-body, a
response stream erroring) became an unhandled rejection and took the whole
process down (audit R1 must-fix). The guard answers 400 when headers are
not out yet, destroys the socket when they are, and reports the failure to
onError (the package never prints). Spec covers all three legs: %-escape
barrage → 400 + server stays alive, non-Error throw wrapped for onError,
mid-stream explosion → socket teardown.

feat(gui): web shell AppRoot boot-page styles — self-contained with neutral token fallbacks
feat(gui): web shell AppRoot — boot gate over loader status, fail-loud plugin failure list
fix(gui): AppRoot gates on explicit settled signal — status-derived readiness races the incrementally filled table
feat(client/ui-theme): ThemeService real implementation — registry with built-in light/dark, apply toggles body[data-ds-dark-theme], third-party token overrides as body inline vars
feat(web-react): scopedSlots outlet (kind matrix, inject WeakMap caches, per-entry error boundary) + spec
feat(gui): web shell module-table seed — pure-library entities for the loader require surface
feat(client/i18n): I18nService real implementation — ns×locale registry, stable bind(ns) reference, zh fallback chain, zh/en skeleton dictionaries
feat(gui): web shell assembly closure — layout exports via module table, SessionProvider + scopedSlots + RootBindingProvider
feat: client/ui-conversation
feat: code
codedoc
build(gui): root bundle green — web shell excluded from the lib workspace (vite app), ui-primitives lib externalizes css side-effect imports (web-ui precedent)
gates(gui): verify-cordis-config follows aggregate tsconfig references (root is a shell over host/client programs); module graph regenerated for the twelve client packages
chore(gui): retire legacy migration sources — every owner rewrite landed (t0-checklist §7 ledger honored); orphan css of retired components removed
gates(gui): knip green groundwork — e2e/tsx entries for the new packages, loader-runtime deps ignored where loading is by specifier string, fake plugin ids un-bare-named, dead test export dropped
chore(client): manifest shape batch A — ui-slots/web-react/ui-primitives invariant companions, files whitelist, cordis+invariants peer/dev, tsconfig refs
chore(client): manifest shape batch B — connection/runtime/ui-conversation/ui-trajectory files whitelist, cordis peer+dev, explicit invariant lib entries (clientBundle signature)
chore(client): manifest shape batch C — i18n/ui-layout/ui-sidebar/ui-theme invariant companions, files whitelist, invariants peer/dev, tsconfig refs
chore(client): manifest shape batch D — web shell gains node-half lib entry + invariant companion + uniform files whitelist
chore(client): drop verified-unused deps — dsh-tools from runtime/ui-conversation (types ride /presentation), ui-primitives+clsx from ui-layout
gates(gui): doc-gate fixes — theme JSDoc prose, three client type-link exemptions, agent-note paths follow the migration, config catalog regenerated
gates(gui): type-equiv manifest follows the types.ts extraction, approval JSDoc keeps its link form, persistence catalog regenerated
docs(gui): per-constant JSDoc on the contract geometry exports (export-jsdoc gate)
test(gates): loader-composition budget covers cold tsx resolution after the program split (was flaking at the default 5s)
docs(gui): README substantiation batch 1 — ui-slots/ui-primitives/web-react/connection: Model Experience short form, real deferred-work ledgers, description accuracy pass
fix(client): theme/i18n dual-entry split — service classes + cordis merges move to src/client (host catalog scanner no longer misclassifies client services), node halves keep types + empty apply; catalogs regenerated
docs(gui): README substantiation batch 2 — runtime/ui-layout/ui-sidebar/ui-conversation: Model Experience short form, package-owned deferred-work ledgers (unload stub, watch approximation, /client value-import rule, global details state, two-state dots, stats duration gap, single-bundle caches)
docs(gui): README substantiation batch 3 — ui-trajectory/ui-theme/i18n/web: Model Experience short form, deferred-work ledgers (placeholder charter, no theme toggle owner, empty locale dictionaries, one-shot rendering); both README gates green
test(scripts): purity spec adopts clientBundle two-arg signature (explicit libEntry, no default)
gates(gui): knip green — declaration-merge dep ignored, fake plugin id assembled at runtime, invariants dep de-duplicated to peer+dev, stale apps/web section dropped
build(client): ui-layout/ui-sidebar tsdown configs adopt the explicit two-arg clientBundle signature (orphaned follow-up of the manifest shape batch)
refactor(gui): shell boot becomes a library face — bootWebShell(el) exported for the apps/web entry; main.ts retired
refactor(gui): exports 纪律刀1——ui-theme/i18n node index 收敛为只空 apply(Translate/LocaleDict/ThemeTokens 类型下沉 src/client/),ui-conversation 的 I18nService import 改 /client 子路径
build(typecheck): converge to root host aggregate + tsconfig.client.json — delete tsconfig.host.json, verify-cordis-config seeds both aggregates
feat(gui): apps/web restored as the vite application — thin main over bootWebShell; dsh-client-web becomes a plain lib (index exports shell surface, vite files and e2e moved out)
chore(gates): knip.json rewritten on the master base — same semantics, minimal diff (formatting churn dropped)

build(typecheck): minimal-diff tsconfig shape — drop root files entry (purity spec + preset move to client program), compress comments, drop redundant util/home root ref
feat(gui): apps/web restoration follow-through — dsh-frontend package name, cli dist resolve, root build:web filter, tsdown exemption dropped, vitest web lane + knip + client aggregate retargeted, e2e paths rebased
refactor(gui): exports 纪律刀3——runtime 实现整体下沉 src/client/(sessions/slots/loader;契约类型与 cordis merge 随迁 client/index),node index=只空 apply;./loader exports 指 client/loader;全消费面(web 壳/ui-sidebar/ui-trajectory/tests)bare→/client 机械跟改;vitest.e2e 换 tsconfig.vitest paths(root tsconfig 排除 client 会把 /client import 掉到 exports 的浏览器 dist bundle)
refactor(gui): exports 纪律刀3 补遗——ui-layout 三处 bare runtime import 改 /client(刀3 消费面机械跟改漏提交件;跨属地机械一行×3 报备 ui-shell)
test(gui): drop the getSessionManager singleton case — the init/get pair is a dead legacy-boot surface with zero live consumers (SessionsService constructs and holds the manager under the plugin architecture); source removal tracked with rt-core

feat(gui): step1 skeleton — dsc web serves built web UI over booted harness host
Five new modules: apps/dsc (bin: parseArgs + node:http static server +
signal shutdown), packages/host/apiproxy (programmatic harness core
composition, agents:[]), packages/client/web-runtime (React-free browser
runtime), packages/client/web-ui (React mount), apps/web (vite build
entry producing dist consumed by apps/dsc via package exports).
Root wiring: apps/* workspace glob, dsh-* paths for host/client groups,
demo:web script, apps/web/dist gitignore. No protocol/API routes yet —
contract lands in step2 (see missions/tasks/20260719-1902-apiproxy-api-design).
Includes the design + implementation archives (spec v2.1, deepseekchat
baseline and harness boot research, implementation run log).
Acceptance: 12/12 passed incl. real-key llm.stream smoke (51 chunks).
feat(gui): apiproxy — four-quadrant RPC contract + fetch carriers, live end to end
Contract layer (src/api/, 14 files): four named wire message types
(ClientRequest / ServerResponse / ServerRequest / ClientResponse) as a
discriminated union over strict bidirectional rpcId (initiator mints,
responder echoes; channel and message fully decoupled — HTTP is the
client->server pipe, SSE the reverse); narrow RpcRequest<P>/
RpcResponse<T> signature forms; RpcMethodMap with RequestPayload<K>/
ResponseValue<K> derivation; typed RpcError details map; approval/
question responses modeled as ClientResponse via a single /api/respond
endpoint (RpcReceipt carrier ack); zod schemas anchored per Wire<T>
against exactOptionalPropertyTypes.
impl/api-proxy.ts: describe/list/create, both SSE streams (frame queue
pump, subscribed baseline, lifecycle frames, signal cleanup); history
pages on message boundaries (tail-back scan, partial included in the
tail page); prompt dispatches queue->agent.send / steer->agent.steer
with rpcId carried through MessageSource; cancel for attached sessions;
cold-session resume deduped via a per-id promise map; host-level
provider/model defaults injected at create/resume.
fetch/: mechanical UNARY_ROUTES table, two-level parse with
path==method check, SSE frames completed to ServerRequest full form;
client mints -> narrows -> envelopes outbound, verifies rpcId echo
inbound, streams SSE frames, four-quadrant onEnvelope tap (debug panel
choke point). Real-browser fixes: URL base resolves to location.origin
(hardcoded internal base broke real pages), browser-safe export paths.
Design archives: contract design.md v2.0 with decision log,
core-coverage audit, comparative studies, step2 impl run log. Probed
end to end over real HTTP: prompt -> live model stream -> history
returns the finished reply.
feat(gui): RpcLog debug panel — fixture-driven milestone, playwright-verified 10/10
web-runtime: rpcLog + ui slices (zustand), four-quadrant RpcLogEntry
(client-request / server-response / server-request / client-response),
onEnvelope tap -> microtask-batched pump with 500-entry ring buffer,
ConnectionController (private state, backoff reconnect), fixture API
with fake envelopes (?fixture switch), bootWebRuntime; contract types
via temporary local copies (api-types.ts, swapped for real imports when
W3 client lands).
web-ui: components/panels/RpcLog five-piece set (badge with unread
count, floating panel, direction glyphs per quadrant, same-rpcId
pair highlighting in two families, JSON payload expand, follow/pause,
clear), App shell, utils/formatRelative, light-theme CSS variables with
dark placeholders.
dsc bin: mime lookup fixed to use the actually-served file (naked
'/?query' no longer falls through to octet-stream download); shutdown
closes SSE keep-alive connections so SIGTERM actually exits.
Acceptance: scripts/verify-rpclog-panel.mjs (chromium headless) ALL
PASS 10/10 over design.md §D 1-6.
pkg: add web scripts for building
feat(gui): session milestone — list + conversation over Session OOP, styled RpcLog v2.1
web-runtime: Session/SessionManager object layer (resident instances,
mux frame routing, lineage flattening), foldSurface adapter with padding
sentinels for paged windows, chunk accumulator for streaming partials,
batched change notification (useSyncExternalStore contract), connection
sinks + reconnect fix (the 300ms self-abort reconnect storm that made
the session list flap is gone), fixture rewritten as a scripted host
(60-turn history, typewriter replay, resident pending approval, child
session); temporary contract copies deleted in favor of real apiproxy
imports.
web-ui: sessions screen (list with lineage indent + selection as
container-local state), conversation view (turn grouping, reasoning
fold, tool cards, steering, pending interaction cards, upward paging
with scroll anchoring), input bar with queue/steer/stop; RpcLog panel
restyled per docs/web-styling.md (tokenized palette, quadrant badge
glyphs now vertical ↑↓⇟⇞, pair highlighting, floating shadow).
docs/web-styling.md: living style guide (tokens, visual baseline,
coding rules, evolution log).
Acceptance: verify-session.mjs 31/31, verify-session-real.mjs 5/5
(real model streaming), verify-rpclog-panel.mjs 10/10.
feat(gui): hostruntime split + repo-wide package prefix rename
Package split (design: 20260720-0101-hostruntime-split-design):
dsh-host-runtime carries bootHost + createApiProxy + startHost()
(RunningHost {api, handler, defaults, ctx, dispose} — the seam Electron
and any future shell reuses; ctx is the official front-door mount
point); dsh-host-webserver carries the node:http static+API bridge
(fixed: abort now keys on res 'close' + writableEnded — req 'close'
fires on body end since Node 16 and was killing every SSE stream
instantly, the reconnect-storm root cause); apps/dsc is now a thin
assembly with web/-p subcommands. dsc -p runs the full isomorphic
carrier chain in process (second real protocol consumer; probed
end-to-end against the live model).
Naming rule (user decree): packages under host/ and client/ carry the
directory prefix in their npm name — dsh-host-apiproxy,
dsh-client-web-runtime, dsh-client-web-ui renamed repo-wide in one
frozen batch; explicit tsconfig paths entries added where the wildcard
no longer matches.
Acceptance: verify-session 31/31, verify-rpclog-panel 10/10,
verify-session-real 7/7 (incl. new 12s connection-stability sentinels),
tsc green, dsc web + dsc -p smoke both pass.
refactor(gui): AbstractApiClient class hierarchy — OO client with inheritable seams
AbstractApiClient (apiproxy) carries every protocol invariant: rpcId
minting, four-quadrant envelope wrap/unwrap, zod parsing, SSE frame
parsing, the payload-direct IApiClient surface (callers no longer mint
rpcIds — the carrier does), and the instance-level envelope observation
pump (batched via microtask; moved off module-level globals in
rpc-log.ts, which is now a pure subscriber mapping envelopes into store
entries — the debug panel observes the connection, it is not part of
it).
Platform subclasses own two abstract seams (doFetch, onEnvelope) plus
three protocol-level virtuals for transportless overrides:
InProcessApiClient (apiproxy; dsc -p uses new InProcessApiClient(
host.handler)), WebApiClient (web-runtime), FixtureApiClient (fixture
now subclasses instead of wrapping). Naming per decree: AbstractApiClient
/ IApiClient; ApiProxy stays the impl-side narrow-form contract.
headless.ts call sites drop rpcRequest wrappers (payload-direct);
split-design archive updated with the naming-rule ledger.
tsc green; verify-session 31/31, verify-rpclog-panel 10/10,
verify-session-real 7/7 (12s connection sentinel count=4); dsc -p smoke
CALLER-OK.
feat(gui): InputBar final form — bug batch, deepseekchat layout, single primary button, running locks input
Squashes the whole InputBar iteration batch: IME/caret/auto-grow/focus/dedup
bug fixes, layout aligned to the deepseekchat baseline, single primary button
with hover flyout, finalized button semantics with the Codex-style icon
circle, and running-state locking where stop is the only mid-turn action.
The same batch carried the Chinese-to-English code comment sweep
(density pruned), folded in here.
docs(gui): purge work-log references from code comments
76 design-doc references cleared across the GUI packages: section
pointers inlined as self-contained constraint statements, pure pointer
comments dropped, milestone codenames and ruling tags out, and the 14
contract file headers switched to the formal RFC (the only sanctioned
external reference). web-styling.md now cites the styling RFC instead
of the disposable research archive. grep for work-log reference
variants is clean across the GUI packages.
docs(gui): file-header comments self-contained — drop RFC filename references
RFC renames/reorgs must not require a source sweep (the 2026-07-20
two-way merge proved it). 11 headers lose only the '(RFC …)' tail and
stay self-contained; api-proxy.ts keeps its minimal-first note.
fix(gui): session streaming — freeze interrupted partials, sweep stale running calls, send force-scrolls
Aborted turns never emit the finalizing assistant/message, so the
accumulated partial and its running tool cards kept rendering below
later messages — the "new message lands above the stopped reply"
illusion. turn/end side effects now freeze content-bearing partials
into interrupted terminal nodes (fractional seq keeps flow order; the
live freeze and history replay converge through applyEventSideEffects,
so a refresh reconstructs identical frozen nodes) and turn running tool
cards into interrupted terminal cards; only content-free partials are
swept outright. ConversationView gains the send-force-scroll rule (own
words must be visible) alongside the pre-update atBottom follow flag.
Regressions pinned as E2-4a–c (real host) and §E1-11h (fixture).
feat(gui): webserver hardening verify script
feat(gui): dark-mode toggle pinned to the sidebar bottom
Interim home before the Settings page exists (the button re-homes with
zero logic change — mechanics live in utils/theme.ts): html[data-theme]
flip + dsc.theme localStorage, stored choice wins over the OS
prefers-color-scheme default, applied in mount() before first paint so
a dark reload never flashes light. Moon/sun inline SVG icon button at
the sidebar's pinned bottom row. Pure front-end local concern: no RPC,
no Session/store involvement. Dark sweep of list/conversation/input
card/RPC panel found no unreadable pairs — no token changes needed.
docs(gui): GUI RFCs and web styling handbook
Layering+RPC protocol and web client architecture RFCs (post-reorg,
developer-facing polish folded in) plus the styling engineering
handbook. Mission work logs live in the commit above; PRs can be cut
from this commit to include formal docs only.
fix(gui): client object-layer hardening — audit timing/reference/resilience batches (S3-S5,C1-C3,C5-C8)
fix(gui): carrier error channel + webserver backpressure (audit A1-A5,A7-A10,R2,R5)
feat(gui): session persistence surface — cold list, project cwd, legacy no-cwd retirement
refactor: rename dsc CLI to dsh — apps/cli, bin name, package scope
Includes the root tsconfig project-references fix for host/* and
client/web-runtime (originally a separate build fix commit).
test(gui): three-tier suite — protocol/object/browser lanes, tier-a fill to per-file 100%
test(gui): jsdom lane for web-ui + web-runtime coverage gate entry
docs(gui): GUI testing system RFC (zh)
feat(gui): tool-card views — contract slot, host-computed delivery, three-level card fallback
fix(gui): lint clean across GUI packages — wrap long doc comments, drop dead type args, sync-return methods without awaits
docs(gui): doc-sync mechanical fixes — JSDoc on apiproxy/host exports, RFC sketch fences ignore-check, md-wrap paragraphs, drop missions links, web-ui plain-ts entry
chore(gui): module-graph regen + knip clean — drop dead re-exports, internalize createFixtureApi, scan web-ui tsx and verify mjs scripts
build(gui): wire client/host packages into the lib build shape — tsc references + tsdown (web-ui css-external), lib manifests, cordis peer, apiproxy typed subpaths, vite src aliases
test(gui): host-side per-file 100% coverage — apiproxy schema/carrier suites, webserver http-bridge suite, host-runtime composition suite; client/* coverage excluded pending the browser-side testing work item
docs(gui): package READMEs for the five GUI packages — model-experience audit entries, limitations sections
docs(gui): bilingual RFC pairs + client JSDoc completion — translate the three GUI RFCs to English with i18n records and manifest ratchet, Consequences sections both sides, full client/* export JSDoc, regen doc graphs and RFC index
fix(scripts): doc-typecheck built-declarations mode maps /src/* subpath wildcards (apiproxy browser-safe channels)
docs(gui): apply dsh rename across pr-gates docs — READMEs, layering RFC en, web-ui entry comment, i18n re-record
fix(gui): post-rebase lint reconciliation — wrap main-tree long doc comments, read-through narrowing guards, abortError Error normalization, handleUnary generic justification
fix(gui): post-rebase doc/test reconciliation — align host specs with evolved carrier contracts (sentinel rpcId, stream/error surfacing, url-path transport messages, defaults.cwd), Agent Note titles and relocated links, KV Cache effect sections, JSDoc on evolved exports
fix(gui): second-rebase reconciliation to 509db0cb3 — restore api panel exports the baseline suites consume, knip workspace entries for jsdom lane and apps/web smokes, hoist result narrowing, align testing.md to the narrowed web-ui exclusion
fix(test): vitest-scoped tsconfig maps bare imports for tsx specs — with GUI manifests now pointing at lib, an unmapped importer loaded a second copy of the web-runtime singletons
fix(gui): typecheck + lint clean over the tool-card batch — brand callIds and object-form turn/end reason in the view spec, narrow fixture arg stringification, wrap long v8-ignore comments
docs(gui): export JSDoc for tool-card surfaces + testing-note pairing header
docs: rfc for web testing
feat: add tools to host-runtime
fix(gui): dispatch agent/error via agentEvents in host-runtime spec — mounted invariants plugin rejects raw ctx.emit without the scope carrier
fix(gui): restore GUI knip workspaces + scripts/mjs entries and regenerate lockfile after master rebase
fix(gui): post-rebase gate repairs — drop context-node envelope (master unwrapped injected content envelopes), regen event matrix, condense testing.md web-ui exclusion within budget
fix(session): browser-safe deep-equal in surface — node:util import broke the vite bundle
ci(gates): frontend vite build joins pre-push — node: imports in the client closure pass tsc but break the browser bundle
test(tui): drop the checkout-dependent process.cwd() harness default — a long worktree path pushes the footer token counters past the 88-column fake terminal
test(gui): jsdom behavior E2E — conversation main path over fixture runtime, reconnect banner lifecycle
test(gui): jsdom RPC panel behavior — ledger rows, expand, pairing, pause/clear, follow-pause, payload truncation
test(gui): jsdom tier-2 — InputBar guards, reasoning fold, JSON blocks, message variants, theme, create-then-select; act-harden banner case
test(gui): jsdom tier-3 — ConversationView states/paging/force-bottom, ToolCallCard arms, PendingCard, list rows
test(gui): jsdom tails — view-card variants, LogRow directions, registry hygiene, badge overflow, hook ops, mount glue
test(gui): jsdom tails round 2 — call-ref blocks, resume follow, view precedence, failed create, empty-diff arm
test(gui): jsdom final arms — anchor compensation, follow-off, interval ticks, view halves, node-over-running precedence
test(gui): web-ui joins the per-file 100% coverage gate
Annotation-only src changes plus the config swap. The web-ui exclusion is
replaced by a single index.tsx entry (stale byte-identical duplicate of
mount.tsx, nothing imports it; same entry-glue treatment as bin.ts) and the
coverage include gains .tsx.
v8-ignore sites (each with its reason inline):
- ConversationView 3x ref-null guards; InputBar disabled-click guard
- ToolCallCard both-null arms + windowless-custom argsRaw arm
- LogRow css-module key fallbacks (start/stop block); RpcLogBody 3x ref-null guards
- web-runtime drift from the tool-card batch: fixture presenter catch/str
typo-guards, dense-array guards (fold-adapter reset, session rebuild,
fixture backscan), live view-present arm (fixture replays are text-only;
view vocabulary is covered by the history samples)
test(gui): close the PR #443 host-side coverage gaps — apiproxy client abort arms, api-proxy cold/view paths, webserver drain
- apiproxy fetch/client.ts: 3 new cases (pre-aborted signal short-circuits
before transport + string reason mapping, non-Error/string reason falls to
the default AbortError message, signal-less doFetch passthrough)
- runtime/api-proxy.ts: one v8-ignore (summarizeCold cwd arm — list()
filters cwd-less legacy metas) + api-proxy-cold.spec.ts (cold list merge:
mtime source, locate-undefined and vanished-log fallbacks, lineage;
no-persistence/no-factory resume → internal) + 2 view cases (history views
with meta passthrough and orphan/bad-args/presenterless soft-falls,
session/disposed open-call cleanup on the mux stream)
Spec covers all three legs: %-escape
barrage → 400 + server stays alive, non-Error throw wrapped for onError,
mid-stream explosion → socket teardown.

feat(gui): ui-layout index rewiring — real exports, client apply provides ctx.layout and defines three slots
feat(web-react): SessionProvider (renderBody deps) + RootBindingProvider + binding contexts + spec
feat(gui): web shell AppRoot boot-page styles — self-contained with neutral token fallbacks
feat(gui): web shell AppRoot — boot gate over loader status, fail-loud plugin failure list
fix(gui): AppRoot gates on explicit settled signal — status-derived readiness races the incrementally filled table
feat(client/ui-theme): ThemeService real implementation — registry with built-in light/dark, apply toggles body[data-ds-dark-theme], third-party token overrides as body inline vars
feat(web-react): scopedSlots outlet (kind matrix, inject WeakMap caches, per-entry error boundary) + spec
feat(gui): web shell module-table seed — pure-library entities for the loader require surface
feat(client/i18n): I18nService real implementation — ns×locale registry, stable bind(ns) reference, zh fallback chain, zh/en skeleton dictionaries
feat(gui): web shell assembly closure — layout exports via module table, SessionProvider + scopedSlots + RootBindingProvider
feat: client/ui-conversation
feat: code
codedoc
build(gui): root bundle green — web shell excluded from the lib workspace (vite app), ui-primitives lib externalizes css side-effect imports (web-ui precedent)
gates(gui): verify-cordis-config follows aggregate tsconfig references (root is a shell over host/client programs); module graph regenerated for the twelve client packages
chore(gui): retire legacy migration sources — every owner rewrite landed (t0-checklist §7 ledger honored); orphan css of retired components removed
gates(gui): knip green groundwork — e2e/tsx entries for the new packages, loader-runtime deps ignored where loading is by specifier string, fake plugin ids un-bare-named, dead test export dropped
chore(client): manifest shape batch A — ui-slots/web-react/ui-primitives invariant companions, files whitelist, cordis+invariants peer/dev, tsconfig refs
chore(client): manifest shape batch B — connection/runtime/ui-conversation/ui-trajectory files whitelist, cordis peer+dev, explicit invariant lib entries (clientBundle signature)
chore(client): manifest shape batch C — i18n/ui-layout/ui-sidebar/ui-theme invariant companions, files whitelist, invariants peer/dev, tsconfig refs
chore(client): manifest shape batch D — web shell gains node-half lib entry + invariant companion + uniform files whitelist
chore(client): drop verified-unused deps — dsh-tools from runtime/ui-conversation (types ride /presentation), ui-primitives+clsx from ui-layout
gates(gui): doc-gate fixes — theme JSDoc prose, three client type-link exemptions, agent-note paths follow the migration, config catalog regenerated
gates(gui): type-equiv manifest follows the types.ts extraction, approval JSDoc keeps its link form, persistence catalog regenerated
docs(gui): per-constant JSDoc on the contract geometry exports (export-jsdoc gate)
test(gates): loader-composition budget covers cold tsx resolution after the program split (was flaking at the default 5s)
docs(gui): README substantiation batch 1 — ui-slots/ui-primitives/web-react/connection: Model Experience short form, real deferred-work ledgers, description accuracy pass
fix(client): theme/i18n dual-entry split — service classes + cordis merges move to src/client (host catalog scanner no longer misclassifies client services), node halves keep types + empty apply; catalogs regenerated
docs(gui): README substantiation batch 2 — runtime/ui-layout/ui-sidebar/ui-conversation: Model Experience short form, package-owned deferred-work ledgers (unload stub, watch approximation, /client value-import rule, global details state, two-state dots, stats duration gap, single-bundle caches)
docs(gui): README substantiation batch 3 — ui-trajectory/ui-theme/i18n/web: Model Experience short form, deferred-work ledgers (placeholder charter, no theme toggle owner, empty locale dictionaries, one-shot rendering); both README gates green
test(scripts): purity spec adopts clientBundle two-arg signature (explicit libEntry, no default)
gates(gui): knip green — declaration-merge dep ignored, fake plugin id assembled at runtime, invariants dep de-duplicated to peer+dev, stale apps/web section dropped
build(client): ui-layout/ui-sidebar tsdown configs adopt the explicit two-arg clientBundle signature (orphaned follow-up of the manifest shape batch)
refactor(gui): shell boot becomes a library face — bootWebShell(el) exported for the apps/web entry; main.ts retired
refactor(gui): exports 纪律刀1——ui-theme/i18n node index 收敛为只空 apply(Translate/LocaleDict/ThemeTokens 类型下沉 src/client/),ui-conversation 的 I18nService import 改 /client 子路径
build(typecheck): converge to root host aggregate + tsconfig.client.json — delete tsconfig.host.json, verify-cordis-config seeds both aggregates
feat(gui): apps/web restored as the vite application — thin main over bootWebShell; dsh-client-web becomes a plain lib (index exports shell surface, vite files and e2e moved out)
chore(gates): knip.json rewritten on the master base — same semantics, minimal diff (formatting churn dropped)
build(typecheck): minimal-diff tsconfig shape — drop root files entry (purity spec + preset move to client program), compress comments, drop redundant util/home root ref
feat(gui): apps/web restoration follow-through — dsh-frontend package name, cli dist resolve, root build:web filter, tsdown exemption dropped, vitest web lane + knip + client aggregate retargeted, e2e paths rebased
refactor(gui): exports 纪律刀3——runtime 实现整体下沉 src/client/(sessions/slots/loader;契约类型与 cordis merge 随迁 client/index),node index=只空 apply;./loader exports 指 client/loader;全消费面(web 壳/ui-sidebar/ui-trajectory/tests)bare→/client 机械跟改;vitest.e2e 换 tsconfig.vitest paths(root tsconfig 排除 client 会把 /client import 掉到 exports 的浏览器 dist bundle)
refactor(gui): exports 纪律刀3 补遗——ui-layout 三处 bare runtime import 改 /client(刀3 消费面机械跟改漏提交件;跨属地机械一行×3 报备 ui-shell)
test(gui): drop the getSessionManager singleton case — the init/get pair is a dead legacy-boot surface with zero live consumers (SessionsService constructs and holds the manager under the plugin architecture); source removal tracked with rt-core

feat(lsp): LSP capability seam, generic stdio provider, and lsp tool
Implements the LSP capability seam RFC as three packages: dsh-lsp (the
ctx.lsp interface — provider registry by branded id + exclusive extension
mapping, per-query order-independent selection, closed request/result
vocabulary, LspError taxonomy), dsh-lsp-local (a generic stdio language-server
provider — Content-Length JSON-RPC framing, per-(provider, workspace) process
single-flight, transient didOpen/query/didClose, an abortable per-instance
queue, UTF-16 negotiation, host-namespace source reads outside ctx.fs, and
bounded shutdown/kill teardown), and dsh-tool-lsp (the model-facing lsp tool —
four operations, one-based UTF-16 cursor conversion, workspace-grouped location
rendering, hover capping, a required session workspace, and a timeout budget).
Why: an agent had text search and file reads but no way to identify a program
symbol — follow an alias, connect an interface to implementations, or read an
inferred type — before changing code. Splitting model contract, seam, and local
subprocess behavior keeps the four semantic queries stable across future remote
or sandbox-native providers without leaking a JSON-RPC escape hatch.
